Day 1: Dushanbe
After arrival, your guide will welcome you at the airport and you will start your tour in Tajikistan. Today your guide will show you architectural and cultural monuments of the city. National library, White House, National State Seal, and House of Parliament will be followed by Rudake Park will be the first site, where you can enjoy the mildly atmosphere. Later you will take a walk to the largest National Flag all over the world, reaching 165 m high pole, 30 m width, 60 m length. Ministry of Inner affairs will be another monument to capture on your camera. Have a lunch at the local restaurant after the interesting excursion in Central Museum. Gurminj museum will take you to the land of traditional musical instruments. Oriental Asian Bazaar will give a perfect idea of the life of local people. These main places of sightseeing provide you with a lot of information about Tajikistan and Tajik people. Night in a cozy hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
After breakfast, we will start enjoyable tour to Kalai Khum village through Norak water reservoir, the biggest reservoir also known as a "Tajik Sea". Today you will reach 2,267m at highest , which is Shuraba Pass along the drive of Afghan border. Here it starts legendary Pamir Mountains; you will be amazed by the massive as the same time beautiful mountains. Even the world's most popular travelers like Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar were impressed by these mountains. The River Pyanj defines the border naturally. Most of the explorers associated Pamir Mountain with the ocean of blue and white mountains. In order to come closer to the local life, night will be at family homestay.
Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
Today you will drive to small town Khorog, which is surrounded by massive mountains all around. Khorog is located on the crossroads of three river, where Shokhdara river and Ghund river join to Pyanj River. En route, you will meet Pamir people, physical and cultural characteristic of Pamiris differs from Tajik people. Most of the Pamir people are with light skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. Pamir is the second populated mountainous area after Himalayas in Tibet. Mountain lifestyle these people make them different from Tajiks. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog - Kalai Khum
Today we will drive back to Kalai Khum on the same way. Hard rocky mountains do not enable to build other road in this area. Only one way is available on 6000 m high mountains. During the travelling within Pamir Mountain system, you will not only enjoy the natural beauty, but also find out more about ethnographical and cultural history of mountain habitants, and get an idea how human beings history developed into modern life. En route, it is possible to meet and talk with friendly locals, and see the life. There are small and narrow settlements on the both side of the river, on the other site you still can see the villages of Afghanistan. Night in a homestay.
Day 5: Kalai Khum - Dushanbe
In the morning we will drive to Dushanbe via mountain road which is part of many tours in Tajikistan. The road goes through the most amusing way back to Dushanbe. Lovely mountain rivers, fantastic gorges will be the high spot on this road. You will have many photo stops to capture the beauty of the terrain. One the way , you will have an opportunity to meet local people and communicate with them. Tajiks are warm-hearted, hardworking and kind from the nature. They always have been true to their traditions and customs. If you want to combine, nature activities with learning local culture, then it perfectly matches you needs. Night in a cozy hotel.
Day 6: Flight
In the morning, you guide will accompany you to the airport.
