Ala-Archa National Nature Park, with an area of 2,280 hectares, was established in 1976 in the gorge of the same name, 40 km from Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. The Ala-Archa Gorge is one of the most famous sights of Kyrgyzstan. Every year, this high-mountain gorge receives hundreds of thousands of tourists in tours, both local and foreign.
