Peak Pobeda

The famous mountain peak, the so-called peak Pobeda, is another reason why tourists decide to take the tours with rented cars and travel around Kyrgyzstan. Peak Pobeda is known for being the highest point of the Tien Shan and Kyrgyzstan, and during the Soviet era, it was considered the highest point of the entire union. And so the height of peak Pobeda is 7439 m.

When travelers come to the tour with rent cars service in Kyrgyzstan, they receive information that sections bordering the peak have been added. At peak Pobeda, it is possible to see the Zvezdochka glacier. In addition, travelers during the tour can find out that the peak from the Chinese side is commonly called the Tomur peak. When researcher P. Semenov investigated these places, he was mistaken in thinking that it was Khan Tengri peak. And thus both peaks at different times were called Khan Tengri. And in 1946, the summit already received its current name as peak Pobeda (Victory) in honor of the victory in World War II. Of course, there were attempts to ascend by different climbers alone and with teams. By the way, you will learn more about everything from the guide during the tour with rented cars. As a rule, it is not always possible to complete the ascent to Pobeda Peak successfully both then and now, because the state of the weather affects it. Our travel company has repeatedly organized tours with rent cars service so that guests of Kyrgyzstan could get acquainted with the incredibly beautiful nature.
